06-23-2023: Setting things up

Hi everyone! Welcome to skincaresophie, my shiny new website, which I am so excited to fill with my thoughts, things, and random musings.

As you can see, I am still setting up things here. After signing up with Neocities, I looked around and found and got a code for a layout from sadgrl.online's layout generator. Right now, I am learning little by little on how I can tweak it to express what I want this website to look like.

It's been such a long time since I've actually had a website. All throughout the years, I keep signing up with Wordpress/Blogspot/TUmbr, intending to start a blog, but I've just not been consistent with it.

Hopeful and praying that I'll be consistent this time around.

Reading sadgrl.online's guide now, I realized that what I know about website creation back around 2008-2009 is seriously outdated now, (What did I expect haha!?) but there's a certain excitement to starting anew and using a static website format at that.

Talking about static website format now, I am also realizing now how much work this is going to be to update the site, since I will have to work with html code, but again, while there's that worry, there's also that excitement to being a bit "free" to tweak this site into my very own space on the net.

So excited!!! I started this site because I have a lot of things to say about my interests that I sometimes catch myself drafting my own blog post in my head (is that weird!?) and I just have this calling to put it out there, hehe.

Expect posts about my favorites: God, family, life, skincare, anime, ethics, literature and all of my musings on them. If you happen to stumble on this first post and there are no other posts yet, I hope you will consider coming back in the future to read my posts.
